Towel Racks for Your Bathroom

If you have a large bathroom, a floor standing towel rack would be ideal. These towel racks usually have storage space for fresh towels and hooks for used towels. The wall-mounted towel racks can be placed anywhere above the foot of your tub. They may consist of a single shelf for fresh towels and a towel bar below. If you want a designer towel rack, you can buy one that can be fixed on the wall and opens up like a Japanese fan. When not in use it can be folded and placed against the wall. Stainless steel racks are best suited for bathrooms as they blend with the light colored ceramic.

How to Choose Towel Bars

Towel bars come in various materials and designs. You can shop for the simple stainless steel rods that are slender and look good for modern bathrooms. They are also cheap and save space. If you want a traditional look, there are copper ones shaped as vines or brushed metal ones that are twisted into various shapes. If you thought that towel bars are limited, get one that is shaped like a snake and see the difference it makes to your bath area. Off course, pay attention to two things: the style and the color. Light colored ones are preferable for bathrooms. As far as the style is concerned, choose bars to suit the rest of your bathroom fixtures. See to it that the ends of the bars are accented so that they stand out even when a towel is placed over the main body.
